Yay I have scrapped!!

Mind you that is only the one layout and that is for my post on It's A Creative World but I will let you have a little sneak peek.

While on the subject of IACW I would like to welcome our new Teamies I am really looking forward to seeing what they come up with to inspire us all. Heaven only knows I need some inspiration. LOL.

So what else have I been doing with my time this last week, well not alot really but I did make some cushions for the new sofa bed we bought for the spare room/my craft space. I have to say I am really pleased with the results too.

I think having done something different has been good for me and I am starting to think more about scrapping again. So watch this space and see if I manage to get any done.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a good week.

Lost Mojo!!

If anyone has seen my mojo could you please send it home to me. Not sure if it has been the really hot weather we had last week that sent it away or what!!! I am sure I will get inspired again soon. I will have a bit of a tidy up of my scrapping stash and hopefully will come across something that will get me going again.

I do have one layout to share with you though and it is my last months layout for It's a Creative World This is a photo of my Brother-in-law when he was 3 or 4 years old back in the early 1930's. He celebrated his 80th birthday in May and this photo came to light and I just had to scrap it.

Sandie did the sketch for me and I very naughtily didn't give her credit it for it on the blog. Sorry Sandie but thanks for the perfect sketch for my photo.

We had a little trip out during the lovely weather to a lovely spot up near Aberystwyth where they feed the Red Kites. It's a really beautiful spot to spend an afternoon with lovely walks and a nice cafe plus the beauty of seeing these wonderful birds up close.

Another little walk last week hubby managed to get a fabulous photo of a Heron catching his breakfast. He did get a really good series of photos of the Heron diving in and then coming up with the fish. This is the final one.

This is a walk we quite often do along the Tiefi Marshes but rarely do we get any really good photos.

Hopefully I will be back soon with my Mojo intact and be all systems go again. Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a good week.

Not much this week!

I don't seem to have acheived much this week regarding scrapping but I have been doing other things around the home.
I have one layout to share with you though and it was my entry into the Twisted Sketches Design Team call. Sadley I wasn't one of the winners but congratulations to those that got through. I will be following the sketches and I look forward to seeing what the DT do with them.

The only other thing that I have created this week is a Lacing Card project. This isn't something that I would normally buy but as it was in my Goody Bag from the Scrapping Angels retreat I went to earlier this year I thought I should do something with it. So I have done it as a gift for a friend of mine as we only get to meet a couple of times a year so I thought it was a nice momento of the times we do meet.
It was very quick and easy to do as everything is there in the kit.

I will leave you with a picture of what a friend of ours found in his shed the other day.

Thankfully he has now left but apparently the smell lingers on.LOL!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a good week and you get some sunshine, it's not looking good here at the moment although we have been promised a bright sunny day.

At Last!

Yes at last I have managed to sit down and blog. Not that I have alot to share with you this week. I have done another couple of layouts with my kits from Total Paper Crafts I think Karens kits are really excellent value for money and I am really looking forward to getting my next one.
This first one is Hubby with his two Sisters round about 1952 on holiday at Highcliffe in Dorset.

This one is Hubby again with his middle Sister playing in the garden, again we think it's about 1952/3.

It is really sad that no dates were put on these photos and both Hubby and his sisters have to guess at the dates and times etc. But I think we have it near enough.

I have been working on another couple of layouts but I can't share those with you as yet.

Don't forget the Design Team Call is still on over at It's A Creative World and it is open to anyone wherever you are living that would like to share their crafts and all things crafty with the readers of this blog.

This week I also received my kit from My Creative Scrapbook
and wow what a fantastic kit it is. Can't wait to start using it.

Well I guess that is all for now. The rain has eventually stopped and I think that maybe the sun might even make an appearence. So I will go and take the dog for his afternoon walk. Hope you all have a good week and thanks for stopping by.

Wet Weekend!

I hope you are having better weather than me. Yesterday turned into a really wet day and today has started off the same but with the hope it will improve this afternoon.
I took this photo in the week of these gorgeous poppies in my garden sadly they are not looking that great now.

Wenesday we spent a lovely day with some friends of ours who were staying down at Lydstep Bay near Tenby. It is just a lovely spot and the caravan they stay in look over the lovely private beach.

The boys wanted to look really glam in the floppy hats.I think they acheived that don't you? LOL.

Scrapping wise I have been busy doing a layout using a new kit I have bought from Total Paper Crafts. they are small page kits and there is plenty in them do do loads of layouts. I have just done this one and still have plenty of the papers left for another layout. There is also a double page kit as well so plenty to work with.

The pics are of my DH when he was on holiday at Sandbanks and we think he was about 10 or 11 years old so this would be around the late 50's I used a sketch by Liz Qualman I thought it was perfect for my photos.

Back last year Sandie took a class at her local crop. I loved what she did and sadly I couldn't be there so she saved me some papers so I could do the class. I really loved the design and did mine as per class.

Last but not least is a layout I did for It's A Creative World Using up some of your old stash. Something we all need to do.

Well I think that's it for now and I do believe it is brightening up. So off to take the dog for a walk via the Pub for a lunchtime drink. Thanks for stopping by. Have a good week.

The last one!!!

Yes it's my last layout for Sketches by Tamara my DT period had come to an end. I have had a blast doing Tamara's sketches and I have to say a big thank you to her for allowing me to be part of her team.

This week I have done a couple more sketch challenges. One for the May sketch over at My Creative Scrapbook It a sketch by Liz Qualman who has a fabulous blog with great sketches on as well as providing the sketches for MCS.

Last but not least I have used the May 15th sketch over at My Sketch World to do this layout of Sandie and me at the Scrapping Angels Retreat we went ot in April.

Now if any of you are looking to join a Design Team take a look over at It's a Creative World It really doesn't matter what your craft is, it doesn't have to be scrapbooking. It can be knitting, sewing, keeping chickens...you name it it could be you we are looking for. Anyway pop on over I know Caz would love to hear from you.

Well I think that is about it for this week. Thanks for popping by and hope you have been enjoying the same lovely sunshine that we are having here in West Wales.

Long time no Blog!

Sorry it's been so long but we have been away and I just couldn't get my act in gear when we got back. But I am all sorted now so no excuse! LOL.

Firstly I had better mention Sketches by Tamara from last week as well as this week. Last weeks sketch was a 6x12 and I love doing this size.

I used some bird photos that Hubby took while out on his morning walk with the dog.

This weeks sketch #97 I used some gorgeous pics of the Granddaughter that were taken when we popped in to see Sandie last week.

She is just so photogenic and I love getting photos of her.

As well as my Sketches layouts I have been busy with a layout for Sandie's distressing challenge over at My Sketch World I have to say I am not that good at distressing but I had to have ago. I have scrapped this photo before but I wasn't happy with it so it had to be done again. Just realized the pic isn't very clear but you get the idea.

What do you do if you aren't happy with a layout?? Do you leabe the original and scrap another layout of rip the old one up and start again?

Now I must draw your attention to a Scrap you Man challenge over at It's a Creative World It has been running all month and it is very remiss of me not to have mentioned it before. It is to draw attention to the Orchid Cancer Appeal and any donations however small would be appreciated. Anyway you still have time to enter and we have some super sponsers onboard, so some great prizes up for grabs.

Be sure to check out the It's A Creative World blog on thursday when my layout class goes live.

Well thanks for dropping by, will be back next week. Have a good week and take care.
